Το τραγούδι "The Coffin Ships" αποτελεί μία από τις κορυφές των Primordial. Το πρωτακούσαμε τον χειμώνα του 2005 ως μέρος του δίσκου "The Gathering Wilderness". Σύνθεση του MacUiliam. Οι (πολύ δυνατοί) στίχοι είναι του τραγουδιστή Alan Averill (a.k.a. A.A. Nemtheanga) κι ασχολούνται με τον μεγάλο λιμό που ταλάνισε τους Ιρλανδούς και διήρκεσε από το 1845 ως το 1852.

"The Coffin Ships" (long cónra στα Ιρλανδικά) ονομάζονταν τα πλοία που μετέφεραν του Ιρλανδούς μετανάστες. Την περίοδο της "Μεγάλης Πείνας" εκατομμύρια Ιρλανδοί εγκατέλειψαν την πατρίδα τους για να επιβιώσουν και αναζήτησαν το μέλλον τους στην άλλη πλευρά του Ατλαντικού. Το βίντεο της σημερινής ανάρτησης αφορά την "ζωντανή" εκτέλεση του τραγουδιού από τους στην Γαλλία πριν από τρία χρόνια (2017)...
