Enzo and the Glory Ensemble - "Last Weep" (video)

Ο πρώην τραγουδιστής των Members of God, Enzo Donnarumma, σχημάτισε προ εξαετίας τους Enzo and the Glory Ensemble, οι οποίοι έχουν κυκλοφορήσει δύο δίσκους. Το στυλ τους; Gospel Metal Opera το χαρακτηρίζει η εταιρεία τους, Christian Symphonic Prog ο Enzo. Το τρίτο album των Ιταλών είναι προ των πυλών. Φέρει τον τίτλο "In the Name of the World Spirit" κι αναμένεται στα τέλη Μαρτίου.

Δελτίο τύπου: «Following up the previous albums ‘In the Name of the Father’ and ‘In The Name of The Son’, composer Enzo Donnarumma teamed up once again with Gary Wehrkamp (Shadow Gallery) for the production of the new record entitled ‘In The Name Of The World Spirit’.

Enzo and The Glory Ensemble’s stellar line-up includes Enzo Donnarumma, Marty Friedman, Kobi Farhi (Orphaned Land), Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear), Mark Zonder (Fates Warning, Warlord), Gary Wehrkamp & Brian Ashland (Shadow Gallery), Nicholas Leptos (Warlord, Arrayan Path), Derek Corzine & Amulyn Braught Corzine (Whisper from Heaven), David Brown (Metatrone), Alessandro Battini (Dark Horizon), Maria Londino and Francesco Romeggini (S91), Mr Jack, Claudia Coticelli and Clara People.

In addition to this out-of-this-world line-up, bass player Philip Bynoe (from Steve Vai’s backing band) joined the Glory Ensemble for the new album. Lasting over one hour across 13 tracks, ‘In The Name Of The World Spirit’ will be definitely a must-have for all those who are into progressive metal with ethnic influences.

This final chapter of the trilogy is a bridge between the western and the eastern cultures, besides a huge step towards a top-notch production. The balance between the instrumental parts and the vocals are now improved, while the ethnic arrangements are driven by the magnificent Weza Meza Choir ensemble from Congo.

Once again, thanks to the massive choir section, ‘In The Name Of The World Spirit’ sets a new standard into the so-called “Gospel Metal” scene. "In The Name Of The World Spirit" is set to be released on March 27 via Rockshots Records.»

Δελτίο τύπου: «Released on Christmas Day, "Last Weep" is the new single from Enzo and the Glory Ensemble, featuring Gary Wehrkamp, Brian Ashland, Mark Zonder, Philip Bynoe, Nicholas Leptos e Mr. Jack.

"Last Weep" is a tribute to Ibn Battuta, recognized around the world as one of the 10 most famous travelers in history, along with Neil Armstrong and his journey to the Moon, Fridtjof Nansen who crossed Greenland, Christopher Columbus who discovered the Americas, Xuazarg the Chinese Buddhist who traveled from China all the way to India, a journey of 17 years.

The title of “history’s most famous traveler” usually goes to Marco Polo, the great Venetian wayfarer who visited China in the 13th century. For sheer distance covered, however, Polo trails far behind the Muslim scholar Ibn Battuta.

Though little known outside the Islamic world, Battuta spent half his life tramping across vast swaths of the Eastern Hemisphere. Moving by sea, by camel caravan and on foot, he ventured into over 40 modern day nations, often putting himself in extreme danger just to satisfy his wanderlust.

When he finally returned home after 29 years, he recorded his escapades in a hulking travelogue known as the Rihla. The Video features footage from "Journey To Mecca" a documentary film charting the first real-life journey made by the Islamic scholar Ibn Battuta from his native Morocco to Mecca for the Hajj (Muslim pilgrimage), in 1325.»
