Το 2008 ο Cody Pelchat αποχώρησε από το συγκρότημα Sinnsyk και δημιούργησε τους Reich of Shadows, οι οποίοι βρήκαν την τελευταία διετία δισκογραφική διέξοδο. Πέρυσι κυκλοφόρησαν τον δίσκο "At Last" και στα τέλη Οκτωβρίου το album "Fortune's Hand". Οι Reich of Shadows μας έρχονται από τις Η.Π.Α. κι αναφέρουν ως επιρροές συγκροτήματα όπως οι Iron Maiden, Queensrÿche, Judas Priest, Dio, Black Sabbath, Blind Guardian, Iced Earth, Avantasia, Edguy, Helloween, Ayreon...
