Το μακρινό 1978 σχηματίσθηκαν στην Γερμανία οι Age. Hard Rock / Heavy Metal συγκρότημα το οποίο το επόμενο έτος (1979) μετονομάσθηκε σε Trance. Με αυτό το όνομά παρέμεινε μέχρι το 1989, για έναν χρόνο το άλλαξε σε Trancemission, επανέφερε το Trance κι έμεινε ενεργό μέχρι το 1998.

Η μπάντα επανήλθε το 2011 και συνεχίζει μέχρι τις ημέρες μας. (Εν τω μεταξύ και οι Trancemission επανήλθαν το 2000 και παραμένουν ενεργοί, αλλά αυτή η ιστορία ίσως ειπωθεί κάποια άλλη στιγμή.) Οι Trance έχουν κυκλοφορήσει εννέα "ολοκληρωμένους" δίσκους ("Break Out" το 1982 ο πρώτος, "Metal Forces" το 2021 ο πλέον πρόσφατος), οκτώ συλλογές, πέντε singles και ένα ep ο δισκογραφικός τους απολογισμός.

Από την "παλαιά φρουρά" έχει απομείνει ο κιθαρίστας Markus Berger (ο μόνος από την αρχική σύνθεση) και ο μπασίστας Thomas Klein που εντάχθηκε στην Γερμανική μπάντα το 1981. Το 2016 ενσωματώθηκε στο συγκρότημα ο (drummer) Neudi και πέρυσι (το 2025) ο τραγουδιστής Alexx Stahl (ο οποίος επέστρεψε φέτος και στους Bonfire).

Neudi και Alexx μεγαλούργησαν παρέα στους Viron, ενώ συνεργάστηκαν και σε άλλα projects - συγκροτήματα (όπως ΠΧ στους Roxxcalibur).

Το τραγούδι "Heavy Metal Queen", του οποίου το μουσικό βίντεο σας παρουσιάζουμε σήμερα, το βρίσκουμε στον δίσκο "Power Infusion" που κυκλοφόρησε τον Μάιο του 1983 (το εναρκτήριο μουσικό κομμάτι), ενώ τον προηγούμενο μήνα (Απρίλιος 1983) είχε βγει και αυτόνομα, ως single, με το "Shock Power" στην δεύτερη πλευρά του βινυλίου. Για το μουσικό βίντεο του τραγουδιού ο Neudi μας λέει:

«Found on a DVD of the old manager Karl-Heinz Osche who has transferred all the early Trance material onto two DVDs. "Heavy Metal Queen" is, along with "Loser" and "Break The Chains" the best known Trance song. There was also a picture 12" single of that track.

Through the years various bands have covered "Heavy Metal Queen". Trance disbanded in the nineties and returned 2016 with a strong comeback album "The Loser Strikes Back", followed by the even more successful "Metal Forces".»
