Το μακρινό 1980 δημιουργήθηκαν στο Βέλγιο οι Acid. Έμειναν ενεργοί μέχρι το 1985 κυκλοφορώντας τρεις "ολοκληρωμένους" δίσκους ("Acid" 1983, "Maniac" 1983, "Engine Beast" 1985), ένα ep ("Black Car" 1984), τρία demos και δύο singles.

Η μπάντα επέστρεψε το 2019 και το επόμενο έτος μετονομάσθηκαν σε Kate's Acid (από το όνομα του τραγουδιστή Kate de Lombaert που είναι και το μόνο μέλος από την αρχική σύνθεση της μπάντας που παρέμεινε).

Οι Kate's Acid κυκλοφόρησαν ένα live album "Blowing Your Ears Off" το 2024, ενώ φέτος (20 Μαρτίου 2026) μας παρουσίασαν και τον πρώτο τους στουντιακό δίσκο υπό τον τίτλο "Hellbender". "Βγήκε" από την δισκογραφική εταιρεία High Roller Records σε cd, βινύλιο (400μ αντίτυπα), κασέτα (100 κόπιες) και σε ψηφιακή μορφή.

Ακούμε τους Kate de Lombaert (φωνητικά), Camilo Ortega (μπάσο), Ashley "Ash" Ysewyn (τύμπανα) και Geert Annys (κιθάρα).
