Το 2006 επανενώθηκαν ο Tony Iommi και ο Ronnie James Dio. Αυτήν την φορά δεν συνεργάστηκαν υπό το όνομα των Black Sabbath, αλλά επέλεξαν το Heaven and Hell (από τον εκπληκτικό ομότιτλο δίσκο που κυκλοφόρησε το 1980). Οι Heaven and Hell έμειναν ενεργοί για μία τετραετία, μέχρι και το 2010 (έτος θανάτου του Dio). Κυκλοφόρησαν έναν "ολοκληρωμένο" δίσκο ("The Devil You Know" 2009) και κάποια live albums.
