Οι Enchanter της συγκεκριμένης ανάρτησης (γιατί υπάρχουν και άλλα heavy metal Αμερικάνικα συγκροτήματα με το ίδιο όνομα) δημιουργήθηκαν το μακρινό 1984 στο Michigan. Κυκλοφόρησαν δύο demos ("Defenders of the Realm" 1988, "Time Gone Past Nevermore" 1989) κι ένα single ("Ethereal Quarter" 1990) και το 1992 μετονομάσθηκαν σε Longings Past (με απολογισμό δύο δίσκους).

Τον Μάρτιο του 2008 κυκλοφόρησε από την Arkeyn Steel Records, σε cd, η συλλογή "Defenders of the Realm" η οποία περιελάμβανε όλα τα ηχογραφήματα της μπάντας. Τον Σεπτέμβριο του 2020 η δισκογραφική εταιρεία Buried by Time and Dust Records κυκλοφόρησε την συλλογή σε βινύλιο. Η Arkeyn Steel Records προανήγγειλε την επανακυκλοφορία, στις 20 Μαρτίου 2026, σε cd (500 αντίτυπα).
