Τον Σεπτέμβριο του 1984 κυκλοφορούσε το ντεμπούτο του Γερμανικού pop συγκροτήματος Alphaville υπό τον τίτλο "Forever Young". Ο δίσκος "έβγαλε" τρία singles, το πρώτο ήταν το "Big in Japan" (που αποτελεί και την μεγαλύτερη επιτυχία τους), ακολούθησε το "Sounds Like a Melody" και τρίτο (single) ήταν το ομότιτλο τραγούδι.

Σήμερα θα ακούσουμε την προσέγγιση των Iron Savior στο συγκεκριμένο μουσικό κομμάτι. Θα αποτελέσει μέρος του δίσκου διασκευών "Awesome Anthems Of The Galaxy" που θα κυκλοφορήσει στα τελειώματα του πρώτου ανοιξιάτικου μήνα (27 Μαρτίου 2026), με τον (τραγουδιστή, κιθαρίστα) Piet Sielck να μας λέει σχετικά:

«After the huge success of the "Condition Red" bonus track 'Crazy' (Seal) in 2022, which was actually used in a HBO TV show, we've been asked by fans and media almost constantly to do a complete cover track album. So, two decades later, here we are!

"Awesome Anthems..." continues the transformation from pop to metal in Iron Savior style as started with Seal's 'Crazy' and Eurythmics 'Sweet Dreams'. We're absolutely proud of the outcome, which never looses the original vibe of the tracks but yet is 100% Iron Savior. Just listen yourselves. I guarantee a lot of smiles while doing so!

When it came to pick the songs for "Awesome Anthems...," Alphaville's 'Forever Young' was one of the songs that almost popped up immediately. I think we did a very interesting yet powerful version of this all-time classic with all the typical IRON SAVIOR trademarks. Eager to get your feedback»

Το μακρινό 1978 οι μαθητές Kai Hansen (κιθάρα) - Piet Sielck (φωνή) δημιούργησαν τους Gentry. Είχαν πάρει μέρος μάλιστα σε σχολικό διαγωνισμό παίζοντας διασκευές σε κομμάτια των Uriah Heep, Led Zeppelin και Black Sabbath συν δικό τους υλικό. Ακολούθησε η ηχογράφηση ενός demo. Στην συνέχεια ήρθαν στην μπάντα οι Ingo Schwichtenberg (τύμπανα) - Markus Grosskopf (μπάσο) και η μπάντα μετονομάσθηκε σε Second Hell.

Το επόμενο όνομα ήταν Iron Fist και το μεθεπόμενο; Helloween. Ο Piet Sielck συνέχισε να ασχολείται με την μουσική. Όχι όμως ως τραγουδιστής αλλά ως παραγωγός / τεχνικός ήχου. Έβαλε την "σφραγίδα" του σε πάρα πολλούς δίσκους. Συνεργάσθηκε με Saxon, Gamma Ray, Blind Guardian, Grave Digger, Twisted Tower Dire, Stormwarrior, Wizard, Paragon, Black Majesty κλπ.

Το 1996 Hansen και Sielck αποφάσισαν να θυμηθούν τα παλιά δημιουργώντας τους Iron Savior, οι οποίοι παραμένουν ενεργοί μέχρι τις ημέρες μας. Έχουν κυκλοφορήσει δεκαέξι "ολοκληρωμένους" δίσκους (συν ένα EP, είκοσι singles και ένα live album)...
