Ο Todd Michael Hall έγινε γνωστός στο "μεταλλικό" κοινό λόγω της παρουσίας του στους Riot V (τα τελευταία δώδεκα έτη). Παράλληλα έχουμε ακούσει την φωνή του σε δίσκους των Jack Starr's Burning Starr, Timo Tolkki's Avalon, Reverence κλπ.

Επίσης "τρέχει" και την προσωπική του καριέρα. Σήμερα θα τον παρακολουθήσουμε, σε βίντεο, να αποδίδει (φωνητικά) το τραγούδι "When The Love Is Over" το οποίο γνωρίσαμε στον δίσκο "Excess All Areas" του Βρετανικού συγκροτήματος Shy (που κυκλοφόρησε τον Ιανουάριο του 1987) και να μας λέει σχετικά:

«Shy released the album "Excess All Areas" back in 1987 and I fell in love with the album and Tony Mills' incredible voice. His vocal range and tonal quality were amazing.

I still enjoy listening and singing along with this album to this day. Sadly, Tony had terminal cancer and passed away on September 18, 2019 at the age of 57. Special thanks to Tony and the guys from Shy for the incredible music that inspires us to this day.

On the technical side:

I am calling this a live vocal cover, because I sang the song from beginning to end in one take without any vocal overdubs or edits.

Part of the reason I love Tony's voice so much is because my voice is similar, which made it fun to sing along. I gave this song a few tries to make sure I had a good take.

I think the hardest part was doing both the call and response on the chorus, which you wouldn't have to do in the studio. The music came from Moises (with just the lead vocal deleted).

I sent my vocal track and the music track to my friend Kurdt Vanderhoof who added some effects to the vocals and blended them in with the music. Special thanks to Kurdt for his assistance.»
