Το συγκρότημα The Rods μας έρχεται από τις ΗΠΑ (Νέα Υόρκη), δημιουργήθηκε το μακρινό 1979, μας συστήνεται κάπως έτσι:

...έμεινε ενεργό μέχρι το 1987 και επανήλθε το 2010 με απολογισμό ένδεκα "ολοκληρωμένους" δίσκους, 16 singles, δύο live albums, ένα ep, ένα boxed set και μία συλλογή. Από την αρχική σύνθεση βρίσκουμε τον (ξάδερφο του Ronnie James Dio) David "Rock" Feinstein και τον Carl Canedy.

Το πλέον πρόσφατο δισκογραφικό τους πόνημα φέρει τον τίτλο "Wild Dog Unchained" και κυκλοφόρησε στις αρχές Σεπτεμβρίου...
