Οι Mortemia είναι το προσωπικό μουσικό σχήμα του Morten Veland. Πρόκειται για τον δημιουργό των Tristania και (αργότερα, όταν έφυγε από τους Tristania) των Sirenia. Το ντεμπούτο των Mortemia, υπό τον τίτλο "Misere Mortem", κυκλοφόρησε το 2010 από την Napalm Records.

Ο διάδοχός του ("The Pandemic Pandemonium Sessions") "βγήκε" προ τριετίας (7 Οκτωβρίου 2022). Έκτοτε οι Mortemia κυκλοφορούσαν singles ως γενικότερο project υπό τον τίτλο τον τίτλο "The Covid Aftermath Sessions", το οποίο κυκλοφόρησε το καλοκαίρι (1 Αυγούστου 2025).

Το νέο τους project φέρει τον τίτλο "The Cover Collab Sessions". Η αρχή έγινε με την διασκευή στο (κλασικό) τραγούδι του Neil Young "Like a Hurricane" και την σκυτάλη παίρνει η προσέγγισή τους στον ύμνο των Aerosmith "Dream On" (από το ομώνυμο ντεμπούτο του που κυκλοφόρησε τον Ιανουάριο του 1973).

Ως προς την διασκευή που σας παρουσιάζουμε σήμερα, ο Morten Veland έχει αναλάβει όλα τα μουσικά όργανα και η τραγουδίστρια Linda Toni Grahn (Anima Veil, ex-Follow the Cipher, ex-Saint Loaded, ex-Vengeant κλπ) τα φωνητικά. Την έχουμε ακούσει και στο τραγούδι των Mortemia "Forever and Beyond"...
