John James Sykes: όνομα - ιστορία! Τι να πρωτοαναφέρεις! Whitesnake; Tygers Of Pan Tang; Thin Lizzy; Blue Murder; Κάπου στις αρχές της (τρέχουσας) χιλιετίας σταμάτησε να δισκογραφεί. Τα περασμένα χρόνια επανενεργοποιήθηκε σχεδιάζοντας την κυκλοφορία νέου προσωπικού δίσκου ("Sy-Ops"), ο οποίος εν τέλει δεν κυκλοφόρησε ποτέ.

Ο John Sykes (απεβίωσε τον περασμένο Δεκέμβριο) έχει συμμετάσχει σε κλασικούς δίσκους όπως το ομώνυμο (ή "1987") των Whitesnake, τους "Spellbound" - "Crazy Nights" - "The Cage" των Tygers Of Pan Tang, το "Thunder and Lightning" των Thin Lizzy κλπ.

Από το 1995 μέχρι το 2004 έβγαλε και τέσσερις προσωπικούς δίσκους. Το 1997 ήταν άκρως παραγωγική χρονιά και καθώς "χτύπησε" δισκογραφικά εις διπλούν: "Loveland" (τον Ιούλιο) και "20th Century" (τον Δεκέμβριο, την επομένη των Χριστουγέννων). Εστιάζουμε στο δεύτερο.

Ο John ανέλαβε την μουσική σύνθεση, την κιθάρα, τα φωνητικά (το μπάσο σε ένα τραγούδι) και την παραγωγή (ενώ είχε συμμετοχή και στο artwork), ο Marco Mendoza το μπάσο, ο Mars Lasar τα πλήκτρα και οι Simon Phillips, Tommy O'Steen, Tommy Aldridge, Bonnie Bonapart τα τύμπανα...
