Οι BlackRain σχηματίσθηκαν στην Γαλλία το μακρινό 2001 ως speed / power metal μπάντα, αλλά στην πορεία υιοθέτησαν sleaze / glam αισθητική. Έχουν κυκλοφορήσει οκτώ "ολοκληρωμένους" δίσκους (συν ένα ep, ένα demo και μπόλικα singles), με τον όγδοο (και πλέον πρόσφατο) να φέρει τον τίτλο "Hot Rock Time Machine" και να κυκλοφορεί πρόπερσι. Ο διάδοχός του τιτλοφορείται "Orphans of the light" και έχει προγραμματιστεί να κυκλοφορήσει το επόμενο έτος. Το μουσικό βίντεο του τραγουδιού "Crack The Sky" προετοιμάζει το έδαφος...

Matthieu De La Roche: «The day before the shoot, snow blocked access to the fort where we were supposed to film. A fan saved the day by finding us a warehouse in the Maurienne Valley. But that location didn’t fit the original track anymore. So we changed everything at the last minute. Everyone was stressed out. The result? A raw, intense video with lots of flames - in the spirit of Untamed, but even hotter.»

Swan Hellion: «We’re bringing back the spirit of the 45 rpm single. Nowadays, people mostly listen to playlists, not full albums. So we want to give each track its moment, with a video to spotlight it. It’s a massive undertaking, but it’s worth it.»
