Προ διετίας, το 2023, ο Johan de Jager δημιούργησε το μουσικό project False Idols αναλαμβάνοντας όλα τα μουσικά όργανα (και ο πρώην τραγουδιστής των Metal Church, Ronny Munroe, τα φωνητικά). Μας συστήνονται κάπως έτσι:

Η συνεργασία τους απέφερε το ep πέντε τραγουδιών "Initiation", το οποίο κυκλοφόρησε προ διμήνου (15 Φεβρουαρίου 2025) μέσω της Doc Gator Records σε cd, βινύλιο (350 αντίτυπα) και σε ψηφιακή μορφή. Στο έργο τους συνεισφέρει και ο κιθαρίστας Nikolay Atanasov (βλ. ex-Agent Steel, ex-Attika, ex-Blind Illusion κλπ), ο οποίος εντάχθηκε και επίσημα στην μπάντα φέτος μαζί με τον τραγουδιστή Greg Wagner...

These two experienced musicians deliver a powerful blend of epic heavy metal with a clear focus on traditional, melodic sounds. The story of False Idols began in 2023, when Johan de Jager composed some tracks and was looking for a singer who would perfectly complement the musical style. Fortunately, he quickly found the right partner: Ronny Munroe, who appeared as a guest vocalist on the songs.

This collaboration led to the creation of the "Initiation" mini-LP, a first glimpse of what was to come. The mini-LP was largely recorded in 2023 and mixing and mastering were completed by early 2024. “Initiation” promises an intense heavy metal experience that will not only delight fans of the bands mentioned, but will also captivate all lovers of melodic and powerful metal.»
