Στους A-Z (σημαίνει Alder thru Zonder) ο Mark Zonder έχει μαζί του την φωνή των Fates Warning, Ray Alder, τον μπασίστα Philip Bynoe (βλ. Warlord, Steve Vai, Ring of Fire), τον κιθαρίστα Joop Wolters και τον πληκτρά Vivien Lalu.

Η μπάντα σχηματίσθηκε στα ξεκινήματα του 2020 και προ τριετίας είδε το ντεμπούτο της σε κυκλοφορία, το οποίο φέρει ως τίτλο το όνομα του συγκροτήματος. Πλέον βρίσκεται προ των πυλών ο διάδοχό του. Φέρει τον τίτλο "A2Z²" και αναμένεται στα ξεκινήματα του καλοκαιριού, με το μουσικό βίντεο του τραγουδιού "Nothing is Over" να προετοιμάζει το έδαφος...

The band’s name came courtesy of Alder - A-Z = Alder thru Zonder - and it fit straight away. Mark Zonder, famed former Fates Warning and Warlord drummer, started working on material in early 2020; he had a very clear vision for the band he wanted to put together.

“I was thinking beer commercials, car commercials and Cobra Kai. I wanted to have a very accessible band that would appeal to the masses and would lead to the ability to tour larger venues and build a second and third record off the success of the first."

The result was A-Z, reuniting him with Fates Warning vocalist Ray Alder and Warlord / Steve Vai / Ring of Fire bassist Philip Bynoe (a three-time Grammy nominee). For artwork, they turned again to the famed Hugh Syme (Rush, Fates Warning), who delivered another amazing image.»
