Rotting Christ - 'Yggdrasill - ᛦᚵᛑᚱᛆᛋᛁᛚ' (official music video)

The ancient path to wisdom, is hidden in a tree
This pagan rite to freedom, the genesis I see

The nine realms I follow, the nine worlds I see
Asgard,Nifelheim, my ancient roots I see
The dawn the night the morrow, the Odin's gift
This ancient path to wisdom,is called Yggdrasil

Hel-Wolf time/Hel-Wild time
Hel-Axe time/Hel-Sword time
Hel-Shileds time/Hel-High time
Hel-Blade time/Hel-War time

Men brave and generous live the best lives,
Seldom will they sorrow; then there are fools,
Afraid of everything, who grumble instead of giving
When a real battle starts,
You’ll always find that there is no bravest man
Because men brave and generous live the best lives

Rotting Christ - ‘Pro Xristou’

Η θεματολογία του δίσκου σύμφωνα με την μπάντα «This album was inspired by the might of ancient pagan wisdom. It’s a tribute to those who resisted the coming of Christianity, which destroyed all the values, traditions and knowledge of the ancient world.»

Παρακουλούμε το μουσικό βίντεο του τραγουδιού "Yggdrasill" για το οποίο η μπάντα μας λέει: «In Norse mythology, Yggdrasill - (ᛦᚵᛑᚱᛆᛋᛁᛚ) is an enormous ash tree that connects the nine worlds, including the underworld (Niflheim), the earth (Midgard), and the realm of the gods (Asgard).

Yggdrasill is associated with both life and death: it acts as a gallows that the god Odin hangs himself from in order to gain mystical knowledge, and it is said to be the source of new life after Ragnarök (Doomsday), the catastrophic final war of the gods.»

Δελτίο τύπου: «For over three decades, Tolis brothers Sakis and Themis have carved a blackened path through the metal world.

Architects of the Hellenic black metal, Rotting Christ have been blending histrionic atmospheres, mesmerizing choirs, and neo-classical arrangements for 35 years.

Now, the Greek metal legends present their 14th studio album: ‘Pro Xristou’.

Translating to “Before Christ” in Greek, this album is a fervent tribute to the last Pagan kings who stood resilient against the Christian tide, safeguarding ancient values and knowledge.

Dive deep into the legacies of figures like Flavius Claudius Julianus and Nordic mythological kings through tracks such as "The Apostate" and "Ygdrassil".

‘Pro Xristou’ encapsulates the essence of Rotting Christ's signature style - a melodic symphony with moments of unyielding harshness.

Artwork by Thomas Cole (1801-1848), the cover art is 'Destruction', which is part of the painting series 'The Course of Empire'.»
