Το μακρινό 1983 σχηματίσθηκαν στις ΗΠΑ οι Legacy. Τέσσερα έτη αργότερα (το 1987) και μετά από την κυκλοφορία ενός demo με τον Steven Souza (των Exodus) στα φωνητικά μετονομάσθηκαν σε Testament και τα υπόλοιπα είναι λίγο - πολύ γνωστά!
Το πρώτο όνομα του συγκροτήματος αποτέλεσε τον τίτλο του ντεμπούτου του δευτέρου ("The Legacy"). Κυκλοφόρησε τον Απρίλιο του 1987 και σε λίγες ημέρες (26 Απριλίου 2024) θα γνωρίσει μία ακόμη επανακυκλοφορία.
Η Nuclear Blast θα το "βγάλει" σε cd (500 αντίτυπα), βινύλιο (2.000 κόπιες) και σε κασέτα (600 αντίτυπα). Ακούμε τον Chuck Billy στα φωνητικά, τον Alex Skolnick και τον Eric Peterson στην κιθάρα, τον Greg Christian στο μπάσο και τον Louie Clemente στα τύμπανα.
Παρακολουθούμε - θυμόμαστε το μουσικό βίντεο του εναρκτήριου μουσικού κομματιού του δίσκου ("Over the Wall"). Πρόκειται για μουσική σύνθεση του Alex Skolnick και του Greg Christian (το μοναδικό τραγούδι στο οποίο συμμετέχει συνθετικά), ενώ τους στίχους έγραψε ο Steve Souza (που ήταν ήδη μέλος των Exodus εκείνη την περίοδο)...
