Στα τελειώματα της δεκαετίας του εβδομήντα ο Bobbie Wright δημιούργησε τους Prisoner. Στην πορεία ενσωματώθηκε στην μπάντα και ο Jim Schumacher. Λίγα χρόνια αργότερα, το 1982, οι δυο τους σχημάτισαν τους Brocas Helm, ένα από τα πλέον εμβληματικά συγκροτήματα στον χώρο του επικού heavy metal.

Οι Brocas Helm κυκλοφόρησαν μόλις τρία full length albums (συν τρία demos, ένα ep, δύο singles, μία συλλογή κι ένα live album), με πλέον πρόσφατο το "Defender of the Crown" που "βγήκε" προ εικοσαετίας. Έκτοτε δισκογραφική... σιωπή (παρότι το συγκρότημα παραμένει ενεργό μέχρι και τις ημέρες μας).

"Helm’s Deep (The Demo Anthology)" τιτλοφορείται η συλλογή που θα κυκλοφορήσει σε λίγες ημέρες η δισκογραφική εταιρεία Arkeyn Steel Records σε cd (σε 1.000 αντίτυπα), με τον υπότιτλο να είναι άκρως χαρακτηριστικός (και δηλωτικός) του περιεχομένου του δίσκου.
