Rotting Christ - 'Like Father, Like Son' (official video)

Pride and honor -
Passion, love, and faith
Belief to your own spirit -
This is your father’s saying
Spread your wings and fly -
Fly to the edge of a dream
Be yourself and rise -
Rise, reborn, and scream

Echoes strike my head,
Whispers torment my ears
Father you may gone,
Your voice is still here
So near...

Like father, like son

Ride like the wind,
Die like a hero
Fight respect and go,
From zero to a hero
See the mirror...

Like father, like son

Pride and honor -
Passion, love, and faith
Belief to your own spirit -
This is your father’s saying
Spread your wings and fly,
Meet the edge of your dream
Stay true and fight,
This is your father’s wish

Rotting Christ - ‘Pro Xristou’

Η θεματολογία του δίσκου σύμφωνα με την μπάντα «This album was inspired by the might of ancient pagan wisdom. It’s a tribute to those who resisted the coming of Christianity, which destroyed all the values, traditions and knowledge of the ancient world.»

Δελτίο τύπου: «For over three decades, Tolis brothers Sakis and Themis have carved a blackened path through the metal world.

Architects of the Hellenic black metal, Rotting Christ have been blending histrionic atmospheres, mesmerizing choirs, and neo-classical arrangements for 35 years.

Now, the Greek metal legends present their 14th studio album: ‘Pro Xristou’.

Translating to “Before Christ” in Greek, this album is a fervent tribute to the last Pagan kings who stood resilient against the Christian tide, safeguarding ancient values and knowledge.

Dive deep into the legacies of figures like Flavius Claudius Julianus and Nordic mythological kings through tracks such as "The Apostate" and "Ygdrassil".

‘Pro Xristou’ encapsulates the essence of Rotting Christ's signature style - a melodic symphony with moments of unyielding harshness.

Artwork by Thomas Cole (1801-1848), the cover art is 'Destruction', which is part of the painting series 'The Course of Empire'.»

Παρακολουθούμε το μουσικό βίντεο του τραγουδιού, για το οποίο οι Rotting Christ μας λένε: «Dear brothers and sisters, we can proudly present to you the first video clip of our upcoming album from "Pro Xristou".

A song inspired by the strong relationship between a father and son. Covered by a temple of soulful melodies, 'Like Father, Like Son gives you a taste of the Epic Metal sound behind our new album.

Thanks for your attention. We hope that you'll enjoy our new creation, as there are many more to come! Stay tuned for updates!

  1. Oh, hear the thunder's roar, greetings from our fathers long time gone
Tell so that no one ever will forget, what is in heart goes from father to son
