Τον Οκτώβριο του 1980, κυκλοφόρησε (ως single, με το "Dirty Love" στην δεύτερη πλευρά του βινυλίου) το τραγούδι "Ace of Spades". Λίγες ημέρες αργότερα (αρχές Νοεμβρίου) και ο ομότιτλος δίσκος. Τα υπόλοιπα είναι heavy metal ιστορία. Από τις σημαντικότερες στιγμές στην καριέρα των Motörhead κι ένα από τα καλύτερα (και εμβληματικά) τραγούδια στην μυθολογία του heavy metal. Το ακούμε από την εμφάνιση της μπάντας στην Γερμανική πόλη Χαϊλμπρόν (ή Χεβρώνα) στις 29 Δεκεμβρίου 1984. Εκείνη η συναυλία των Motörhead αποτελεί το live album "The Löst Tapes Vol.4".
