Οι Elvenking μας έρχονται από την Ιταλία. Σχηματίσθηκαν το 1997, αρέσκονται σε folk μελωδίες και power metal ρυθμούς. Δηλώνουν ως επιρροές μπάντες όπως οι Skyclad, Blind Guardian, Helloween, Nightwish, King Diamond, Mercyful Fate, Iron Maiden, Arch Enemy, Satyricon, Dark Funeral και μας παρουσιάζονται κάπως έτσι:
Έχουν κυκλοφορήσει δέκα (10) full length albums, με το ενδέκατο (11ο) να είναι προ των πυλών. Φέρει τον τίτλο "Reader of the Runes - Rapture" και αναμένεται το νέο έτος, στα τελειώματα του Απρίλη. Το έδαφος προετοιμάζει το μουσικό βίντεο του εναρκτήριου τραγουδιού "Rapture", για το οποίο η Ιταλική μπάντα μας λέει:
«Pagan metal with the addition of the violin. Fresh and original sound that mixes enchanting melodies, heavy metal groove, catchy choruses and acoustic folk elements.»

Also, lyrically it is the perfect link between the previous chapter and this one, as it is the Introduction.
The story opens on the Reader of the Runes himself and we read about his mindset and plans before the climax that will be described in the rest of the songs.»
