Sabaton - 'Father' (official lyric video)

A long ago in eastern Prussia
Young men with great ambitions rise
So who can tell me who can say for sure
Which one will win the Nobel Prize?

It was a golden age for science
The kaiserreich would hold the key
And as the conflict came and tensions rose
The manifest of the 93

Haber-Bosch, the great alliance
Where’s the contradiction?
Fed the world by ways of science
Sinner or a saint?

Father of toxic gas, and chemical warfare
His dark creation has been revealed
Flow over no man’s land, a poisonous nightmare
A deadly mist on the battlefield

“Perversions of ideals of science”
Lost words of alienated wife
And in the trenches of the western front
Unknowing soldiers pay the price

And on the battlefield they’re dying
And on the fields the crops are grown
So who can tell us what is right or wrong
Maths or morality alone?

During times when there’s peace
He belonged to the world
During times when there’s war
He belonged to his place of birth

Where, will this lead? What’s coming next?
From your inventions?
We wonder where, where does it end?
Who can foresee, see what will be?

Sabaton - 'Father'
Άκρως δραστήριοι δισκογραφικά μέσα στο 2022 οι Sabaton. Δύο singles ("The Unkillable Soldier", "Soldier of Heaven"), full length album ("The War to End All Wars"), η συμφωνική εκδοχή του ("The Symphony to End All Wars") και πλέον ep. Τιτλοφορείται "Weapons of the Modern Age" και κυκλοφόρησε σήμερα (30 Σεπτεμβρίου 2022).

Fritz Haber, often referred to as the “father of chemical warfare”, weaponised lethal gas for the Germans during World War I. Haber is also responsible for the Haber-Bosch process, an invention that resulted in a boom in the world’s population due to a significant increase in agricultural produce.

...και το YouTube κανάλι Sabaton History συμπληρώνει: «Fritz Haber is a controversial historical figure. He was responsible for scientific advances that fed billions, yet he created weapons of mass destruction that filled millions with terror. This is his story.»

Sabaton - 'Weapons of the Modern Age'
Όσον αφορά το ep "Weapons of the Modern Age" αποτελείται από έξι τραγούδια (Father, The Red Baron, Dreadnought, The Attack of the Dead Men, The Future of Warfare, Stormtroopers), "αγγίζει" τα 25 λεπτά σε διάρκεια και κυκλοφορεί σε cd (limited) και ψηφιακή μορφή...

Δελτίο τύπου: «In times of conflict, science is intrinsically linked to the war system, and some of the most competent scientists use their proficiency in the field to create more efficient and devastating weapons and tactics to help their countries win the war.

The First World War witnessed some of the biggest leaps in scientific evolution, weaponising both air and sea in ways never seen before, with armoured vehicles and battleships to break the stalemate and vicious chemical weapons to penetrate defences. From the powerful Dreadnought battleship to the deadliest flying ace, The Red Baron, this EP tells the story of WWI’s most lethal war machines.»
