Οι Mad Max μας έρχονται από την Γερμανία. Δημιουργήθηκαν το μακρινό 1981 με όνομα εμπνευσμένο από την (πασίγνωστη) ομότιτλη ταινία του 1979. Εννέα χρόνια αργότερα διαλύθηκαν (προσωρινά όπως αποδείχθηκε εκ των υστέρων).
Στα τέλη του περασμένου αιώνα επανήλθαν δριμύτεροι και συνεχίζουν μέχρι τις ημέρες μας. Συνολικά έχουν κυκλοφορήσει δεκατέσσερις "ολοκληρωμένους" δίσκους, δύο EPs και αρκετά singles.
Το νέο τους album τιτλοφορείται "Wings of Time" και αναμένεται σε λίγες ημέρες. Νέα μέλη της μπάντας (σε σχέση με τον τελευταία δίσκο "Stormchild Rising", Αύγουστος 2020) ο μπασίστας Fabian Ranft (Jutta Weinhold, ex-Velvet Viper κλπ) και ο τραγουδιστής Julian Rolinger που αντικατέστησε τον Michael Voss...

This was the starting point for Mad Max founder and guitar player Juergen Breforth to make his musical dreams come true. Mad Max was born and now 2022, after 15 albums and concerts all around the world, Mad Max are celebrating their 40th anniversary. Wings of Time is Juergen’s vision of Mad Max.
With Julian Rolinger on lead vocals Mad Max capture perfectly the style and vibe of their 80‘s roots but also take the Mad Max sound way further. The second single from their upcoming album "Wings of Time" is a very emotional song for the band because the lyrics are absolutely autobiographical.
With a wink the song title refers to Mad Max's classic album of the 80ies "Night Of Passion". Days Of Passion sums up the history of the band with lots of ups and downs but come what may "You won't see us fall. Days of passion, forever standing tall".
Wings of Time you will discover the new Mad Max but there are also lots of classic guitar riffs and melodies for all the true and loyal fans who kept the Mad Max spirit alive for 40 years.
"Wings Of Time" will be released on September 2, 2022 as digipack CD and digital streaming/download format and on November 4, 2022 as Gold vinyl as well as Blue/Gold Splatter vinyl. Both vinyl editions are limited to 300 copies worldwide!»

Our good friend and Mad Max co - songwriter Fred Zahl had the honor to work together with Jimi Jamison and record the album "One Man's Trash - History" with him. When writing new songs for the Mad Max album together with Fred Zahl there were so many great stories to tell about the time with Jimi, all the wonderful Rock n Roll stories we all love so much.
It was a very special vibe in the room and it felt like the lyrics and the guitar riffs were coming from heaven. Even Bon Jovi bass player Hugh McDonald was so touched by the song that finally he ended up playing bass on the recordings. Guess that's what you can call a "Rock n Roll dream".
