Δισκογραφική επιστροφή μετά από μία... ενδεκάδα έτη για τους Wishdoom. Ο διάδοχος του δίσκου "Helepolis" (Μάρτιος 2011) και δεύτερο συνολικά full length album των Ελλήνων metallers φέρει τον τίτλο "Colossus", με το ομότιτλο τραγούδι (μαζί με το εισαγωγικό "Praise the Gods") να προετοιμάζει το έδαφος. Εν έτει 2022 οι Wishdoom αποτελούνται από τους:

Lo and behold, Colossus!
According to the legend in 305 BC the Macedonians (the original Hellenic tribe who lived and thrived on the glorious ancient Hellenic land and spoke the Hellenic language) attacked the city of Rhodes using the larger Helepolis ever built (45 meters tall!).
After a whole year of siege they couldn't manage to take over the city and fled, leaving behind this huge war machine. The Rhodians dismantled the Helepolis and from its materials, they built a huge statue (35 meters tall!) to honour Helios (God Apollo).
Colossus stood proud in the city entrance for 60 years, 'till the day he was destroyed by a massive earthquake. The time has finally come to deliver to the world the first sample of the upcoming album! It will give you a clue on how Wishdoom sound in 2022!
I firmly believe that this song represents everything the band stands for now (11 years after the debut)! It is also a great opportunity to let everyone know of the major changes regarding the members of the band. As currently being the only original member left standing, the demanding task of composing and recording a full album, takes even more time to complete.
Therefore this new album will be more like a personal project, but with the aid of powerful allies that ride by myside along this sacred path! It is a great honour for me to reveal that the one and only Nicholas Leptos, (the latest Damien King of the mighty Warlord and also the singer of my all time favourite Arrayan Path and Astronomikon!) will deliver the vocals for the Colossus album!
Being a huge fan of Nicholas since 2004, I consider him to be among the absolute elite of the European singers for almost 20 years now and my wish(doom) has always been to collaborate with him one day! You see, sometimes in life dreams do come true so here I am having him by myside!
A voice that fits the new songs perfectly (lucky me!). On the bass guitar, the production, mixing, mastering plus the creation of this epic lyric video (and pretty much everything that has to do with the sound) is the extremely talented and close friend of mine mr Vangelis Yalamas of Fragile Vastness and Heaven on Mars (lucky me twice!).
I must confess that if it hadn’t been for Vangelis, I probably wouldn't have started this project at all. The drums were performed by my youngest brother Mario, so this song is the baptism of fire for him! The artwork for the album was made by Anastasio Karapapazoglou an amazing artist who also happens to be the vocalist and the bass player of the legendary Greek band Nemesis!
This song is dedicated to all the friends and fans who live by the sword and stand for true epic heavy metal music! To people who support Wishdoom since day one and keep showing their love and respect to the band 'till this day!
I know it is only a taste and not a full album, but I assure you that I'll keep working very hard on it, 'till the job is done with zero filler songs and zero compromises! This lyric video is a way of saying a huge THANKS to all of you! I really hope you enjoy the song as much as we do!»
