Το 2013 σχηματίσθηκαν στην Κόστα Ρίκα οι Destiny. Δύο χρόνια αργότερα (και μετά την κυκλοφορία ενός δίσκου) μετονομάσθηκαν σε Wings of Destiny συνεχίζοντας μέχρι και τις ημέρες μας. Power metal μπάντα, η οποία μας παρουσιάζεται κάπως έτσι:
«Wings of Destiny, previously called Destiny, is a Power Metal band from Costa Rica formed in late 2013 by vocalist Anton Darusso and bassist Bryan S. Molina, with strong influences from bands like Stratovarius, Angra, Helloween, and Rhapsody, among others.»

Οι Wings of Destiny έχουν κυκλοφορήσει έξι full length albums με πλέον πρόσφατο το "Memento Mori" που "βγήκε" το περασμένο καλοκαίρι. Καινούριο μέλος της μπάντας ο πρώην κιθαρίστας των Manowar, David Shankle, ο οποίος εντάχθηκε προ ημερών. Στις 24 Φεβρουαρίου η μπάντα μας τον παρουσίασε κάπως έτσι:

Formerly from Manowar, co-writer of such power metal anthems as “Ride the Dragon”, “Metal Warriors”, “Power of thy sword”, “Demons whip” & “Master of the wind” (taken from “Triumph of Steel” record); one of the worlds´ fastest and most creative shredders, true guitar hero, David Shankle (ex-Manowar, DSG, Grave Reign & Feanor) becomes our official member and a new guitar player, bringing his unique style alongside Andres Castro.»

«After I stepped into Wings of Destiny and we did the first single Rise Above Them All, Anton and I discussed doing a song from Triumph of Steel. I said, if we did a song, I had to do Ride the Dragon, the first song I wrote musically for the album. To unleash The New Ride the Dragon 2022, we have added symphonic orchestral magic, in a new modern style, merging my Shred Demon sound with the metal power of Wings of Destiny. Every musician in Wings of Destiny is extremely talented and did a phenomenal job on this track. I believe the Manowar fans - all of our fans - will be pleased.»
