Την 1η Δεκεμβρίου 2017 κυκλοφόρησε το τρίτο full length album των Crom υπό τον τίτλο "When Northmen Die". Δυόμιση μήνες αργότερα (14 Φεβρουαρίου 2018) "βγήκε" και σε (διπλό) βινύλιο με πέντε επιπλέον τραγούδια.
Ένα εξ αυτών η διασκευή στο 80's hit των A-ha (Νορβηγικό pop συγκρότημα) "Hunting High and Low" (από το ομότιτλο ντεμπούτο τους που κυκλοφόρησε το φθινόπωρο του 1985), για την οποία η μπάντα δημιούργησε προ ημερών lyric video γράφοντας χαρακτηριστικά:
«In 2017 "When northmen die" was released. For the vinyl version I recorded a cover song of one of the greatest bands ever - norwegian A-ha. This song is very rare so I decided to make a simple but emotional video to give everybody the opportunity to listen to my version of "Hunting high and low".»

Οι (συγκεκριμένοι, γιατί υπάρχουν κι άλλα συγκροτήματα με αυτό το όνομα) Crom μας έρχονται από την Γερμανία. Σχηματίσθηκαν πριν από 25 χρόνια από τον Walter Grosse (υπογράφει ως Crom), ο οποίος προερχόταν από τον black metal χώρο (βλ. Dark Fortress, Sindecade) και τα πρώτα χρόνια είχε αναλάβει τα πάντα. Έχουν κυκλοφορήσει τρεις "ολοκληρωμένους" δίσκους, τρία demos και δύο EPs...
