Οι Riverwood μας έρχονται από την Αίγυπτο. Σχηματίσθηκαν τον Φεβρουάριο του 2018 από τον Mahmoud Nader. Η μπάντα υπάγεται στην κατηγορία του "oriental metal", δηλαδή ατμοσφαιρικό - συμφωνικό - prog metal με ανατολίτικες επιρροές στο μονοπάτι των Orphaned Land ή των Myrath.

Την τελευταία ημέρα του 2018 κυκλοφόρησε το ντεμπούτο των Riverwood υπό τον τίτλο "Fairytale". Ο διάδοχός του τιτλοφορείται "Shadows and Flames" και πρόκειται για διλογία: το πρώτο κεφάλαιο - cd είναι το "Shadows" και το δεύτερο το "Flames"...

Riverwood: «Shadows And Flames is a concept album with story-telling, mythologies, symbols, and is accompanied by a booklet of the lyrics of each song. It is divided into to major chapters:

➤ Chapter II: Flames consists of 7 songs

Songs of each chapter are outlining a certain part of the story, bringing the shadows and the flames together into one force of words.»

Bio: «Riverwood is a 5-piece Egyptian Progressive Metal band from Alexandria, Egypt. The band formed in 2018 from a collection of talented musicians who met during a metal festival in Alexandria in 2017 and who all just couldn't get enough Opeth, Nightingale and Kamelot.

Their unique brand of entertainment fuses heavy metal riffs and middle eastern sounds with death metal growls and clean vocals mixed together that will make you want to float away on a dream cloud.
