"Cold Steel for the Necromancer" τιτλοφορείται ο νέος δίσκος των Cauldron Born. Τυπικά θα είναι το τέταρτο, ουσιαστικά το τρίτο album των Αμερικανών metallers καθώς το "Legacy Of Atlantean Kings" που κυκλοφόρησε το περασμένο καλοκαίρι είναι το "...and Rome Shall Fall" του 2002 επανηχογραφημένο.
Κάτι που σημαίνει ότι θα ακούσουμε καινούριο Cauldron Born υλικό μετά από είκοσι χρόνια. Howie Bentley: «I discovered heavy metal in 1981. Possessed by the zeitgeist that was the 1980s, I grew up in a time when heavy metal ruled the world and John Milius' CONAN THE BARBARIAN and THE SWORD AND THE SORCERER were what was playing at the cinema.
Some of these riffs I use today were even created by me during those glory days, or shortly after, in the early '90s. I had always dreamed of forming my favorite metal band, and I was finally able to do this in 1994 with Cauldron Born.
I wanted a band that played the kind of heavy metal I like and never faltered or changed its style like so many of the bands I was influenced by would later do. So, here we are in 2021. I am a published writer who pens exclusively sword-and-sorcery tales and lyrics for my Cauldron Born albums.
I have what I feel is my best work to this date ready to record. Thanks to the internet, real heavy metal music is still alive and I am able to reach out to people like yourself and ask them to support my latest endeavor, COLD STEEL FOR THE NECROMANCER.
The fans of Cauldron Born will allow me to continue making the best metal possible by funding our CD and purchasing merchandise through this crowdfunding campaign. I would like to thank you all for the continued support. I need 7,500 dollars to make it happen.
Here is a breakdown of the expenses: Studio Time is 2,100 dollars. Alex Parra loads up his mobile and drives from Atlanta to my house in rural Kentucky to record me. It is a seven hour drive, one way, and he usually ends up staying at my house a week or so.
CD Duplication (on estimated 1000 CDs) is 1,900. Equipment maintenance and repairs I have estimated at 500 dollars. My Marshall amp just died on me a few days ago. I have to have it repaired and my Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier serviced along with guitar setups.
I play with some of the best heavy metal musicians in the world, but I write the songs, lyrics and basic vocal arrangements. These guys are great enough to take time away from their work and families to give me their best. They should be compensated.
Musician fees total 2,500. The limited edition album cover was 400 and I need 100 for video editing fees for my campaign. What I am offering for your backing:

2. A hand numbered, signed CD with your name on a special thanks list for backing this project. The album cover is limited edition and will only appear on this CD backed by you. There will be an extensive booklet with photos and lyrics. The CD is 25 dollars plus shipping.
3. A handwritten, signed lyric sheet of one song plus the CD and digital download for 35 dollars plus shipping.
4. A limited edition T-Shirt with the album cover image on the front plus the perks mentioned above for 60 dollars plus shipping. There will be no more of these shirts made once my backers get theirs.
5. Two guitar lessons with me in addition to the aforementioned perks for 150 dollars. I will show you how to play the songs and guitar solos I play on the album.
6. One of my original riff tapes. I record song ideas on cassettes and tell myself how I played them. You get to hear me develop ideas for songs and tell myself how I played them. With the original riff tape you get all the perks listed above for 1000 dollars.
