KK's Priest - "Return of the Sentinel" (video)

Return into desecration
He smells death on the wind
Here to fight for the nation
The saviour of all mankind

Time to make ready his weapons of glory
Hope our children will tell the story
He pledges death to avenge us

He pledges death to avenge us
The tyrants they’ll go to hell
Weapons of black steel protect us
Feel the wrath of the Sentinel

Time to make ready his weapons of glory
Hope our children will tell the story
We may never see again the return of the Sentinel

Into the battle he storms on without fear
Hell waits for no one
The enemy’s death is near

I’ll ride like the wind avenge all those who sinned
There will be peace on earth forever more

I’ve been summoned and I hear you call
You are safe I’ll protect you all
Now I’m here to defend and stay
They’re never gonna take my soul away

The Sentinel in his glory
But no longer in his prime
Win or lose this battle
He stood the test of time

The challengers shriek their fury
Their weapons glint in the sun
With fear he’s outnumbered
It’s time to stand or run

Soon there’s blood and thunder
The Sentinel strikes fast
But then the battle turned against him
It was to be his last

I’ll ride like the wind avenge all those who sinned
There will be peace on earth forever more

Now he lays there dying
His scabbard laid to rest
The victors gloat their glory
He failed the final test

With one last breath
he cried out loud
Your place awaits in hell
Beware I’ll be right behind you
All fear the Sentinel

Ο δίσκος των KK's Priest - "Sermons of the Sinner"
Cage, The Three Tremors, Nihilist κλπ). Την παρέα συμπληρώνουν ο κιθαρίστας A.J. Mills (Hostile) και ο μπασίστας Tony Newton (Voodoo Six). Το ντεμπούτο της μπάντας φέρει τον τίτλο "Sermons of the Sinner" και κυκλοφορεί ήδη...

Δελτίο τύπου: «KK’s Priest - ‘Sermons of the Sinner’ - 10 new songs available on CD disc, single disc vinyl with bonus CD album, digital download and via streaming - is a musical statement that KK Downing's heavy metal ride is far from over after his extended hiatus.

The whole concept is the fact that I continue proudly to be who I am and what I am and do what I do,” declares Downing. “It's been nearly 10 years. I'm back making music.” Downing assembled former Judas Priest singer Tim “Ripper” Owens, Hostile guitarist A.J. Mills, former Voodoo Six bassist Tony Newton, and DeathRiders / Cage drummer Sean Elg to create Sermons Of The Sinner.

Downing says the word “sinner” in the album title refers to his famous solo in that classic song of the same name, noting that fans are always hoping for new music to sound like the Judas Priest classics. KK’s Priest's new material is most certainly an homage.

They have unleashed an album with a modern sound that hearkens back to what fans have always loved about Downing and his music and which still sounds fresh. The high speed album opener “Hellfire Thunderbolt” offers a fictitious take on how metal arrived before the masses were ready for it.

Rousing rockers like “Raise Your Fists” and “Wild And Free” revel in the passion and excess that metal fans embrace. The guitar interplay is intense and inspiring, and the band is firing on all cylinders.»
