Οι Twilight of the Gods υπάρχουν στο heavy metal σύμπαν από το 2010. Σχηματίσθηκε ως συγκρότημα διασκευών στους Bathory (εξού και το όνομα που παραπέμπει στον τίτλο του έκτου δίσκου της μπάντας του Quorthon), αλλά στην πορεία άρχισαν να συνθέτουν και να παρουσιάζουν δικά τους τραγούδια. Αποτέλεσμα τούτου το album "Fire on the Mountain" που κυκλοφόρησε το 2013.

Είναι και το μοναδικό δισκογράφημα των Twilight of the Gods μέχρι τις ημέρες μας. Ο τραγουδιστής της μπάντας, Alan Averill, "ανέβασε" στο YouTube κανάλι του ένα τραγούδι από "ζωντανή" εμφάνιση των Twilight of the Gods το 2010 στην Γερμανία. Αφορά την διασκευή στον ύμνο των Bathory "Valhalla" από τον δίσκο - ορόσημο (στην εξέλιξη του επικού heavy metal ήχου) "Hammerheart" που κυκλοφόρησε τον Απρίλιο του 1990...
