Snakebite Remedy - "I'm Your Lover" (video)
Ο Kristian Niemann είναι ο κιθαρίστας των Sorcerer. Συμμετέχει σε όλους τους δίσκους της Σουηδική μπάντας (πλην των δύο demos που κυκλοφόρησαν το 1989 και το 1992). Πριν τους Sorcerer ήταν στους Therion (από το 1999 έως το 2008) συμμετέχοντας μεταξύ άλλων σε δισκάρες όπως το "Deggial" ή το "Secret of the Runes".
Το μακρινό 1991 ο εικοσάχρονος τότε Kristian συμμετείχε στην μπάντα Snakebite Remedy, της οποίας το μουσικό ύφος κινούνταν σε Whitesnake, Van Halen, Malmsteen ηχητικά μονοπάτια. Οι Snakebite Remedy κάποια στιγμή εμφανίσθηκαν "ζωντανά" σε εκπομπή του τηλεοπτικού σταθμού Z-TV στο Elm Street κλαμπ της Στοκχόλμης. Η εμφάνισή τους βιντεοσκοπήθηκε οπότε έχουν διασωθεί μέρη της, όπως η απόδοση του τραγουδιού "I'm Your Lover"...
Kristian: «I joined this band in 1991 (I was 20), and it was the first band I was in that played mostly original material. Being somewhat of a late starter I had played guitar for about 3 years at this point.
As you can tell by the way we looked 80s music was all the rage back then: Whitesnake, Van Halen, Yngwie, Skid Row, Love / Hate, Lynch Mob etc. We didn't have any real success with this group and it's safe to say we pretty much peaked here.
We got invited to play (mime) 2 songs at this local station called Z-TV which was a huge deal for us. This was a Friday (actually Halloween I think) and the day after we had a gig at club in Stockholm called Elm Street.
I guess doing this TV thing the day before really helped the PR as the club was totally packed when we showed up to play on Saturday! There was even a line of people around the block who couldn't get in! Naturally we thought we were gonna be rockstars now but the band fizzed out soon after due to conflicts and assholish behaviour.»
