Los Angeles, CA - Just in time to make this year’s Valentine’s Day the hottest on record, the bad boys of rockabilly, The 69 Cats, are back with a new single that, as the kids like to say these days, is straight FIRE! Generating its musical heat from the combustible talents of Finnish metal vocalist Jyrki 69 of The 69 Eyes, world-renowned guitarist Danny B. Harvey, bassist Kim Nekroman of psychobilly heroes Nekromantix and The Damned drummer Rat Scabies, “She’s Hot” kicks off the group’s brand new full-length album, Seven Year Itch, which is set for worldwide release on April 16 courtesy of L.A.’s premiere indie label Cleopatra Records.
The new single follows on the heels of the album’s first single, the Post Malone cover “Hollywood’s Bleeding” and highlights the very best this gothic-themed rockabilly project has to offer: an absolute scorcher of a guitar riff from Harvey that blends perfectly with Jyrki’s powerful baritone voice matched with a swinging Nekroman-Scabies rhythm section that keeps the track moving like a rock n’ roll wildfire. As Jyrki himself puts it, “This is real rock’n’roll - you can hear all four cats’ unique musicianship very clearly and their recognizable styles rocking together. That’s what we do!”
Harvey agrees saying, “I’m so proud of this album Jyrki and I made. In all my years, I’ve never recorded an album that came together so easily. It’s the kind of album you all will love to death! I can’t wait to share it with the world.” There’s even a super scintillating video being released simultaneously with the single that features the fiery talents of Marie Devilreux, an internationally known burlesque performer and fetish model.
