Deathcraeft - "On Human Devolution" (album stream)
Οι Deathcraeft μας έρχονται από την Ήπειρο. Thrash / death metal σχήμα, το οποίο σχηματίσθηκε προ τετραετίας στα Ιωάννινα κι εμπνέεται στιχουργικά από το λογοτεχνικό έργο του Howard Phillips Lovecraft. Τον περασμένο Ιούλιο κυκλοφόρησε το (αυτοχρηματοδοτούμενο) ντεμπούτο των Deathcraeft υπό τον τίτλο "On Human Devolution".
Ο δίσκος κυκλοφορεί σε cd και ψηφιακή μορφή μέσω της bandcamp σελίδας της μπάντας. Την περίοδο των ηχογραφήσεων οι Deathcraeft ήταν τρίο. Τον περασμένο Οκτώβριο υπήρξαν αλλαγές στο line-up της μπάντας με την αλλαγή drummer και την προσθήκη (δεύτερου) κιθαρίστα και μπασίστα. Το συγκρότημα μας τα εξηγεί καλύτερα:

Δελτίο τύπου: «"On Human Devolution" is a concept album consisting of 8 songs with a total duration of 48 min. The music "borrows" elements from various genres of metal (thrash, death, black ) in order to tell a story and although H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos is used as the base for the main story, the lyrics are more of the socio-political kind, describing the self-destructing nature of humans. Will humans be free or enslaved in the end? If you have read Lovectaft's novels maybe you have an idea how it will play out, although it is not the destination that matters but the journey, right?»
