Στο μεταίχμιο δύο δεκαετιών, στις 14 Απριλίου του 1980, οι Judas Priest κυκλοφόρησαν τον έβδομο "ολοκληρωμένο" δίσκο τους υπό τον χαρακτηριστικό τίτλο "British Steel".

Έναν μήνα αργότερα κυκλοφόρησε αυτόνομα ως single το τραγούδι "Breaking the Law" (με το "Metal Gods" στην δεύτερη πλευρά του βινυλίου), το οποίο αποτέλεσε μία από τις μεγαλύτερες επιτυχίες του συγκροτήματος.

Σαράντα χρόνια αργότερα, στα τελειώματα του 2020, οι Ρώσοι metallers Ария (Aria) διασκεύασαν το τραγούδι στην ειδική τους εμφάνιση για το Keep It True TV Xmas Edition 2020...
