Οι Poltergeist υπάρχουν στο heavy metal σύμπαν από τις αρχές των 80ies (αρχικά ως Carrion). Ουσιαστικά η καριέρα τους χωρίζεται σε τρεις φάσεις (η πρώτη ως Carrion), καθώς διαλύθηκαν στα μέσα των 90ies κι επανήλθαν προ επταετίας. Οι Ελβετοί power / thrash metallers έχουν κυκλοφορήσει τέσσερις "ολοκληρωμένους" δίσκους (κι έναν ως Carrion).

Ο πέμπτος είναι προ των πυλών. Το νέο τους δισκογραφικό πόνημα φέρει τον τίτλο "Feather of Truth" κι αναμένεται στην καρδιά του καλοκαιριού. Το έδαφος προετοιμάζει το single ""Saturday Night's Alright For Rockin"", ενώ από την "παλαιά φρουρά" έχουν μείνει ο τραγουδιστής André Grieder και ο κιθαρίστας V.O. Pulver...
