Everfrost - "Die Young" (Kesha cover)

I hear your heart beat to the beat of the drums
Oh, what a shame that you came here with someone
So while you're here in my arms
Let's make the most of the night, like we're gonna die young
We're gonna die young
We're gonna die young
Let's make the most of the night, like we're gonna die young
Let's make the most of the night, like we're gonna die young

Young hearts, out our minds
Runnin' 'til we outta time
Wild child's, lookin' good
Living hard just like we should
Don't care who's watching when we tearing it up (You know)
That magic that we got, nobody can touch (Fo' sho')

Lookin' for some trouble tonight (Yeah)
Take my hand, I'll show you the wild side
Like it's the last night of our lives (Uh-huh)
We'll keep dancin' 'til we die

I hear your heart beat to the beat of the drums
Oh, what a shame that you came here with someone
So while you're here in my arms
Let's make the most of the night, like we're gonna die young
We're gonna die young
We're gonna die young
Let's make the most of the night, like we're gonna die young
Let's make the most of the night, like we're gonna die young

Young hunks taking shots
Strippin' down to dirty socks
Music up, gettin' hot
Kiss me, give me all you've got
It's pretty obvious that you got a crush (You know)
That magic in your pants, it's making me blush (Fo' sho')

Lookin' for some trouble tonight (Yeah)
Take my hand, I'll show you the wild side
Like it's the last night of our lives (Uh-huh)
We'll keep dancin' 'til we die

I hear your heart beat to the beat of the drums
Oh, what a shame that you came here with someone
So while you're here in my arms
Let's make the most of the night, like we're gonna die young
I hear your heart beat to the beat of the drums
Oh, what a shame that you came here with someone
So while you're here in my arms
Let's make the most of the night, like we're gonna die young

We're gonna die young
We're gonna die young
Let's make the most of the night, like we're gonna die young

Δελτίο τύπου: «Finnish symphonic power metal band Everfrost unleashed "Die Young" Video taken from their latest album 'Winterider'.

Actraiser started with a hooky chorus idea which developed the rest of the song to have a 'happy-sad' vibe to it; presenting powerful and heavy anime-inspired musical ideas with a dynamic, melancholic undertone. The song's story features one of the characters in Winterider who believes he has magical powers and can protect his friends from danger.

His nerdy girlfriend believes in his 'powers' yet the other characters aren't convinced. This leads to him doubting and hating himself toward the middle of the song, with the ending showing his friends coming together to support him. These ideas are carried along by dramatic vocal lines and rich harmony work throughout the sections of the song.

Winterider will be a unique undertaking for a metal/rock band, as it will be the combination between a fully coherent manga comic and a conceptual album. The story will feature characters from their debut album "Blue Eyed Emotion".

The music includes generous use of catchy melodies and heavy riffs, plenty of guitar and keyboard solos, a large instrumental variety from orchestral to electronic and energetic drumming. The vocals consist of operatic and power metal-inspired male vocals, occasionally including female vocals and harsh vocals as a contrast.

The band’s lyrical themes deal with escapism, death/loss and fantasy. 10 Freezing Songs Of A Harsh Winter Tale! The album features Asim Searah from Wintersun as special guest on "Above The Treeline", and includes a cover version of "Die Young" originally By Kesha.

The Album will be available in a Digipak Deluxe CD Edition with 24 Pages Booklet included Manga Comic!»

Everfrost: «Winterider is an album about battling through life’s hardships. Die Young is a song that pop star Kesha put out way back when we were basically just out of high school starting our own lives.

It carries one of the biggest middle fingers to the struggles in life, proclaiming instead to make the most of the night and party like we’re going to die young. We realized an explosive metal cover of this would be perfect for the second half of the album as the story becomes very dark.

So that is just what we did! As many people know we embarked recently on our first voyage to our holy land Japan. While there we had our own version of the endless winter we ironically presented in Winterider when a well-known disease put the world in a great panic.

Before things became dire we made the most of the trip and had the time of our lives among the fear and uncertainty, just like this song proclaims. With this single we want to share this adventure and the positivity this song brings along with a music video bringing you back to Akihabara, Japan with Everfrost!»
