Το τραγούδι των Pale Divine "Tyrants & Pawns" από το album "Consequence of Time"

Δελτίο τύπου: «Pennsylvania doom mainstays Pale Divine has released “Tyrants & Pawns (Easy Prey)”, a song from their forthcoming sixth full-length studio album, “Consequence Of Time”. The album is due June 26 via Cruz Del Sur Music.

The song is about not being mentally manipulated,” says drummer Darin McCloskey. “It's about thinking for yourself. Obviously, though, it's broad enough for people to draw their own conclusions, but to me, it's about that. Obviously, the lyrics fit comfortably within the current political context but I don't want to say it's about that...because it's not necessarily.

I think people will conclude that it is, though. That's fine - I wouldn't want to discourage anyone from making their own investment and identifying with it in their own way.
” “To me, the theme of the song deals with questioning your news/source of information and what the intentions of that source may be,” weighs in vocalist/guitarist Dana Ortt.

“‘Tyrants & Pawns” is an observation of mass manipulation through a biased media,” adds vocalist/guitarist Greg Diener. Founded in 1995, PALE DIVINE has made a name for itself with its time-honored and distinctive take on classic doom metal.

Albums such as 2004’s “Eternity Revealed” and 2007’s “Cemetery Earth” cemented the band’s reputation as one of the best pure torchbearers of BLACK SABBATH and SAINT VITUS-styled doom. “Consequence Of Time” was recorded during late 2019/early 2020 with producer Richard Whittaker. The album’s artwork was handled by Brian Tutlo, the man responsible for the eye-catching “Thunder Perfect Mind” and “Eternity Revealed” covers.»
