Gévaudan - "Iter" (album stream)
Gévaudan: περιοχή που ανήκει στην Γαλλία (εκεί σήμερα βρίσκεται η επαρχία Lozere) και οφείλει την (όποια) αναγνωρισιμότητά της στο "Κτήνος της Ζεβοντάν"! Τι είναι αυτό; Ένα μυστηριώδες ζώο που εμφανίστηκε το 1764 στην περιοχή. Επί τρία έτη τρομοκρατούσε τους κατοίκους των γύρω περιοχών με τις επιθέσεις που επιχειρούσε εναντίον τους.
Το περιγράφουν ως ένα λυκόμορφο πλάσμα σε μέγεθος αγελάδας. Το μυστήριο που καλύπτει την φύση του ζώου ενέπνευσε πολλούς καλλιτέχνες (λογοτέχνες, ζωγράφους, κινηματογραφιστές, κλπ). Μεταξύ αυτών και μία Βρετανική doom metal μπάντα, τους Gévaudan.
Οι Gévaudan δημιουργήθηκαν προ εξαετίας και μετά από δύο EPs κι ένα single έφθασε η στιγμή για τον πρώτο "ολοκληρωμένο" δίσκο. Φέρει τον τίτλο "Iter" και "βγήκε" (αυτοχρηματοδοτούμενο) στις αρχές Οκτωβρίου...

The four piece formed in 2013. Influenced by the likes of Black Sabbath, Goatsnake, and Candlemass, the band has honed their sound and offer originality and diversity, drawing on wider influences including black metal, NWOBHM and stoner.
Gévaudan’s name stems from the French folklore - La Bête du Gévaudan. The band’s live delivery reflects this tale, taking their pound of flesh from their audiences by the time they reach the end of their set.»
