Οι Serpent Lord δημιουργήθηκαν προ τριετίας στην Θεσσαλονίκη και μας παρουσιάζονται κάπως έτσι: «Serpent Lord (GR) is not just a band. It’s the path to meet, greet and embrace your occult side, your evil thoughts. The path to please your lust, your thirst for triumph, glory and power through The Ritual. Serpent Lord (GR) is your worst dream, your best nightmare. Or your desired reality». Πρόπερσι κυκλοφόρησαν ένα demo δύο τραγουδιών, ενώ τον περασμένο Σεπτέμβριο κυκλοφόρησε το ντεμπούτο τους, το οποίο φέρει τον τίτλο "Towards the Damned"...

Δελτίο τύπου: «Έχοντας ταρακουνήσει τα νερά με το demo που κυκλοφόρησαν το 2017 αλλά και με το video clip τους για το κομμάτι “The Lesser Key”, οι Θεσσαλονικείς occult heavy metallers Serpent Lord (GR), κυκλοφόρησαν το ντεμπούτο άλμπουμ τους με τίτλο “Towards The Damned”, μέσω της νέας δισκογραφικής εταιρείας με έδρα την Θεσσαλονίκη, Alcyone Music Records.

Το άλμπουμ κυκλοφόρησε επίσημα στις 14 Σεπτεμβρίου 2018. Πρόκειται για ένα σκοτεινό heavy metal άλμπουμ, με λίγα progressive και thrash στοιχεία και αρκετές extreme metal επιρροές. Οι στίχοι αναφέρονται στην μαγεία, στον μυστικισμό, σε αποκρυφιστικές τελετές, στον παγανισμό, με τα θέματα να εμπνέονται πολλές φορές από στοιχεία της παλαιάς και καινής διαθήκης.

Ιδιαίτερη εντύπωση προκαλεί το ατμοσφαιρικό κομμάτι “Evvuio Oitovo Iman”, το οποίο είναι γραμμένο στην φρυγική γλώσσα, μια γλώσσα που πλέον είναι εξαφανισμένη. Οι ηχογραφήσεις του άλμπουμ έγιναν την περίοδο 2017-2018 στα Infected Studios, με τον Γιώργο Στουρνάρα (Mass Infection), να αναλαμβάνει την ηχογράφηση, την μίξη και το master του άλμπουμ. Το εξώφυλλο είναι ένας πίνακας του John Martin με τίτλο “Sodom And Gomorrah” (1852), επεξεργασμένο από τον Γιάννη Αντωνίου.»
