Warrel Dane - "Shadow Work" (Playthrough)

Στα τέλη του περασμένου έτους απεβίωσε ο Warrel Dane. Εκείνη την περίοδο ο πρώην frontman των Sanctuary και των Nevermore εργαζόταν πάνω στον δεύτερο δίσκο του προσωπικού του σχήματος, αλλά οι ηχογραφήσεις δεν πρόλαβαν να ολοκληρωθούν. Τελικά το album, το οποίο φέρει τον τίτλο "Shadow Work", κυκλοφόρησε προ διμήνου...

Δελτίο τύπου: «On December 13th, 2017, Warrel Dane passed away in São Paulo while recording the follow-up to 2008’s “Praises To The War Machine”. “Shadow Work” was supposed to be an 80 minutes long opus and while all instruments had been recorded, Warrel passed away before completing all vocal tracks.

In essence, a tribute release, “Shadow Work” contains over 40 minutes of music with Warrel’s vocals tracked during pre-production, demo and recording sessions.

The album’s booklet was completed with Travis Smith providing artwork based upon concepts he had previously discussed with Warrel as well as thorough reconstructions of all lyrics from Warrel’s notebook, personal testimonies by his Brazilian band, and several photos. “Shadow Work” was recorded and engineered by Wagner Meirinho and mixed, mastered by Lasse Lammert.»
