Το 2010 ο Vangelis Tekas (a.k.a. Vangelis Tex) δημιούργησε τους Tex. Πρόκειται για one man band, η οποία δύο χρόνια αργότερα (και μετά την κυκλοφορία ενός demo) μετατράπηκε σε "κανονικό" συγκρότημα μετονομαζόμενη σε Scorcher.
Οι Scorcher μας έρχονται από τις Σέρρες, αγαπούν το 80ies heavy / power metal κι αναφέρουν ως επιρροές συγκροτήματα όπως οι: Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Saxon, Motorhead, Manilla Road, Helloween, Raven, Cloven Hoof, Angel Witch, Jaguar, Sanctuary, Medieval Steel, Queensryche κλπ. Έχουν κυκλοφορήσει δύο "ολοκληρωμένους" δίσκους, ενώ ο τρίτος είναι προ των πυλών. Τιτλοφορείται "Systems of Time" κι αναμένεται σε λίγες ημέρες...
