Το καλοκαίρι του 1986 κυκλοφόρησε το ομότιτλο ντεμπούτο των GTR. Τι εστί GTR; Ένα supergroup, δημιούργημα των κιθαριστών Steve Howe (βλ. Yes, Asia) - Steve Hackett (Genesis). Μαζί τους οι: Max Bacon (φωνητικά), Phil Spalding (μπάσο) και Jonathan Mover (drums).
Πρώτο single του album ήταν το εναρκτήριο τραγούδι "When the Heart Rules the Mind", σύνθεση των Hackett, Howe. 22 χρόνια μετά ο πρώην κιθαρίστας των Genesis επανηχογραφεί το κομμάτι και το κυκλοφορεί ως ψηφιακό single αναλαμβάνοντας εκτός από την κιθάρα και τα φωνητικά.
Οι υπόλοιποι μουσικοί: additional vocals - Amanda Lehmann, additional guitar - Steve Rothery, keyboards and programming - Roger King. Το single κυκλοφορεί σήμερα και προετοιμάζει το έδαφος για την "Genesis Revisited, Solo Gems & GTR 2018 Tour de Force" περιοδεία στην Βόρειο Αμερική.
Steve Hackett: «I always loved the track and think it is the strongest thing Steve Howe and I wrote together and I always wanted to do a version where I would sing it myself with the use of today's production techniques.
I'm also very pleased to have my friend Steve Rothery on board doing additional guitar. I'm looking forward to taking my band on tour. It'll be great to play both North and South America again celebrating Genesis, solo and GTR!»
