Retched: hard & heavy συγκρότημα από την California. Δημιουργήθηκε το 1988. Την ίδια χρονιά ηχογράφησε τον δίσκο "The Overlord Messiah", ο οποίος δεν κυκλοφόρησε ποτέ. Ποτέ; Άκυρο, καθώς κοντά τρεις δεκαετίες αργότερα θα δει το "φως"! Στις 12 Νοεμβρίου κυκλοφόρησε σε ψηφιακή μορφή, ενώ μέσα στην επόμενη χρονιά αναμένεται και σε cd από την Alone Records. Το μουσικό ύφος της μπάντας; Το περιγράφει η ίδια: «This is a classic old school Hard Metal Sound with Heavy Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath roots.»
