Σωτήριον έτος 1970! Και εγένετο heavy metal. Οι Black Sabbath "χτυπούν" εις διπλούν και το μέλλον της μουσικής δεν θα είναι ποτέ το ίδιο! 13 Φεβρουαρίου 1970 και το μουσικό σύμπαν δονείται συθέμελα με την κυκλοφορία του ομώνυμου ντεμπούτου τους.
18 Σεπτεμβρίου του ιδίου έτους: η "πρώτη απειλή" αποκτά ρεύμα και συνέχεια. Κυκλοφορεί το "Paranoid" και η heavy metal επίθεση γενικεύεται. Αρχικά το album επρόκειτο να ονομασθεί "War Pigs". Το "Paranoid" δεν υπήρχε στον ορίζοντα όχι μόνο ως τίτλος του δίσκου, αλλά ούτε και ως τραγούδι (ιστορία που την έχουμε αναφέρει)!
Η αρχική ονομασία του τραγουδιού "War Pigs" ήταν "Walpurgis", ενώ στην Αμερικάνικη έκδοση του δίσκου αναφέρεται ως "War Pigs / Luke's Wall". R.I.P. Ozzy...
