Το 1994 σχηματίσθηκαν στην Νορβηγία οι Windir. Viking Metal συγκρότημα το οποίο διαλύθηκε το 2004 λόγω του θανάτου του Valfar. Τα εναπομείναντα μέλη δημιούργησαν τους Vreid. Η μπάντα χαρακτηρίζει την μουσική της ως "Black 'n' Roll" κι έχει κυκλοφορήσει εννέα "ολοκληρωμένους" δίσκους (και μπόλικα singles). Ο ένατος και πλέον πρόσφατος φέρει τον τίτλο "Wild North West" και "βγήκε" στα τέλη Απριλίου...
